Basketball Game Preview: Trabuco Hills Mustangs vs. San Juan Hills Stallions

Trabuco Hills hasn't had much luck against San Juan Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trabuco Hills Mustangs will face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Trabuco Hills lost 64-42 to San Clemente on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Tritons are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against JSerra Catholic, falling 78-30. The game marked the Stallions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Trabuco Hills will have to keep a close watch on Adelyn Boberg and Anna Shreeve, a pair of players who had a big impact on San Juan Hills' prior game. Boberg posted 15 points and five rebounds, while Shreeve had eight points and six rebounds.

Trabuco Hills' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for San Juan Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Trabuco Hills was dealt a bruising 60-22 defeat at the hands of San Juan Hills in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trabuco Hills was down 34-9.
