Softball Recap: Turlock Bulldogs vs. Golden Valley Cougars
After only one run in their last match, Turlock made sure to put some runs up on the board against Golden Valley on Monday. Turlock walked away with a 10-5 victory over Golden Valley. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
Audrey Bailey made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Karley Wool was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Jaysee Rubio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Turlock's record is now 4-11. As for Golden Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Looking ahead, Turlock and Hughson will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-6 defeat against Buhach Colony on the 25th.
