Ellington's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Kingston Cougars as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Whippets have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellington moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kingston, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Ellington will head out on the road to challenge Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kingston will be paying especially close attention to the Whippets' game: after the Whippets faces off against Summersville, they'll take on Kingston again at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
