Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Ramona Rams

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Ramona Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Rancho Cucamonga can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Wednesday. They fell just short of Citrus Valley by a score of 7-6.

Rancho Cucamonga saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Peyton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Peyton has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Ramona unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Tahquitz by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
