Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian School Kings vs. Fredericksburg Christian Eagles

The Grace Christian School Kings will face off against the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian School hasn't scored more than 25 points for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Thursday, Grace Christian School came up short against Walsingham Academy and fell 27-20.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kalei Taylor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fredericksburg Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 42-22 margin over Immanuel Christian on Monday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

Fredericksburg Christian's win came from a few key players Grace Christian School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Riley Thomas, who posted eight points, to go along with eight steals and four blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Layna Thomas, who put up six points, to go along with ten assists and four steals.

Fredericksburg Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grace Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
