Basketball Recap: William Smith Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 28-28 at halftime, William Smith was not quite Poudre Community Academy's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They came up short against the Poudre Community Academy Warriors, falling 75-54. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 50-45.

Poudre Community Academy found their leader in sophomore Kevin Swanson, who shot 6-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swanson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Voetelink, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 12 points and seven boards.

William Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Poudre Community Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

As of now, neither William Smith nor Poudre Community Academy have any future games scheduled.
