Basketball Game Preview: Long Reach Lightning vs. Mt. Hebron Vikings

The Long Reach Lightning will take on the Mt. Hebron Vikings on Friday.

On Wednesday, Long Reach came up short against Reservoir and fell 54-45. The match marked the Lightning's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hebron hadn't done well against Wilde Lake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Mt. Hebron snuck past Wilde Lake with a 66-62 victory.

Long Reach has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Mt. Hebron, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Long Reach was able to grind out a solid victory over Mt. Hebron in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 76-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Long Reach since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
