Weslaco East waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 19 straight wins... but they left with 20. They strolled past the Pace Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Vikings are ranked 1114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Weslaco East pushed their record up to 28-4 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Pace, their loss dropped their record down to 11-16.
