Volleyball Game Preview: Scottsbluff Bearcats vs. Stevens Raiders

The Scottsbluff Bearcats will square off against the Stevens Raiders on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Scottsbluff took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Sidney 3-2.

Scottsbluff had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 21-25, 30-28, 25-18, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Stevens was able to grind out a solid win over Rapid City Central on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Cobblers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Scottsbluff's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Stevens, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Scottsbluff was able to grind out a solid win over Stevens when the teams last played back in September of 2023, winning 2-0. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
