Basketball Game Preview: Blair Bears vs. Bennington Badgers

The Blair Bears just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bennington Badgers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Blair will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Elkhorn North, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Blair secured a 39-33 W over Elkhorn North on Tuesday.

Blair's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addie Sullivan led the charge by putting up 12 points. Cadence Field was another key player, earning nine points.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bennington over Lakeview in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bennington blew Lakeview out of the water with a 73-33 final score. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Bennington pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Blair, their record now sits at 15-9.

Blair ended up a good deal behind Bennington in their previous meeting back in January, losing 51-34. Can Blair avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
