Recap: Garland Owls vs. North Garland Raiders
The Garland Owls were the 53-51 winner over the North Garland Raiders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Garland took a 66-48 bruising from North Garland on Friday. Garland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Garland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennon Workmon, who scored six points along with two steals. Caleb Ibeneme was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Garland has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for North Garland, their win bumped their record up to 7-18.
Garland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lakeview Centennial at 7:00 p.m. Lakeview Centennial is coming into the contest with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Garland will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for North Garland, they will face off against South Garland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Garland is on a ten-game streak of home losses, North Garland a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
