Softball Recap: Springstead Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Springstead walked away with it. They never let the Wesley Chapel Wildcats get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Alivia Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaylana Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Springstead's record is now 19-2. As for Wesley Chapel, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-8.

As of now, neither Springstead nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
