Basketball Recap: Natchez Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Natchez had won two straight road games and Daylan Haywood did his part to make it three on Friday. The Natchez Bulldogs came out on top against the Franklin County Bulldogs by a score of 58-49 thanks in part to Haywood, who posted 31 points and four steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kyrin Johnson, who earned six points along with six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Natchez has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Natchez will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wilkinson County at 7:30 p.m. Natchez is facing Wilkinson County at the right time seeing as Wilkinson County is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Franklin County will take on McComb in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: McComb will have lost seven straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
