Softball Recap: Graford Comes Up Short

Graford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-4 to the Santo Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rabbits have suffered since February 28th.

Faith Perry and Keira Apilando stepped up to the plate in a big way. Perry scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4, while Apilando scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Margaret Byrd, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Graford's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Santo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Graford is set to challenge their familiar foe De Leon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Santo will face off against rival Ranger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
