Softball Recap: Rockridge Rockets vs. Auburn Trojans
Rockridge extended their postseason success on Saturday against Auburn. They never let the Auburn Trojans onto the board and left with a 4-0 win.
Kendra Lewis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Lewis has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Lewis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Kaycee Price was excellent, going 2-for-2 with a triple and a run.
Rockridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 26 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 32-4-1 record this season. As for Auburn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-9-1.
