Volleyball Recap: Frontier Regional Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Frontier Regional came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Belchertown Orioles on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22.

Frontier Regional found their leader in freshman Evan Maio, who had 14 digs and two assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Maio.

Frontier Regional's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Belchertown, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier Regional will square off against Longmeadow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belchertown, they will challenge Veritas Prep Charter at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
