Fayetteville proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Childersburg Tigers 5-4. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Eli Burns, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Fayetteville's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Childersburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville will take on Comer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Childersburg, they will challenge Sylacauga at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
