Soccer Recap: Holt Takes a Loss

Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Howell Central Spartans. While losing is never fun, Holt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Howell Central are ranked 15th).

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Howell Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

Holt will square off against Fort Zumwalt North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Zumwalt North's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Howell Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pattonville at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th.
