Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Marcos de Niza Padres

The St. Mary's Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Marcos de Niza Padres at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, St. Mary's came up short against Cactus and fell 3-1. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-11, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Marcos de Niza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Cactus Shadows.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Marcos de Niza's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for St. Mary's, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

St. Mary's beat Marcos de Niza 3-1 in their previous meeting last Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
