Basketball Recap: Odessa Comes Up Short

Odessa entered their contest against Brownfield on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bronchos fell 71-63 to the Cubs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Bronchos still had to take the loss.

Odessa's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Brownfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Odessa will venture away from home to square off against Andrews at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownfield, they will host Lorenzo at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Cubs will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
