Baseball Recap: Half Moon Bay Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mills on Thursday, Half Moon Bay came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 6-3 to the Los Altos Eagles on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Lane Giannini was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Half Moon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Los Altos, they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Half Moon Bay will take on Menlo School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Los Altos, they will square off against Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
