Football Game Preview: Wisdom Generals vs. Westside Wolves + Official Tickets

The Wisdom Generals will square off against the Westside Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Wisdom headed into their last matchup having not scored more than 13 points for five straight, but Houston Math Science & Tech let them put that streak behind them. The Generals really took it to the Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

J'Dynn Lancaster had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 143 yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westside). They claimed a resounding 52-8 victory over Houston Math Science & Tech. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Westside's win came from a few key players Wisdom will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dillyn White, who rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gavin Meador, who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of TDs.

Westside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Wisdom, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.
