            The Wasilla Warriors will head out on the road to  face off against  the Kodiak Bears  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Kodiak took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wasilla, who comes in off a win.
Wasilla will bounce into Friday's   matchup after  beating Mountain City Christian Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Wasilla put the hurt on Mountain City Christian Academy with a sharp  62-39 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Warriors have posted  since February 16, 2024.
Meanwhile, Kodiak and Grace Christian faced off in a Battle of the Bears  two weeks ago. Kodiak lost to Grace Christian at home  by a   63-44 margin. The Bears have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Wasilla will have to contain  Kelly Ticman as he made an impact in Kodiak's last game. He  posted 28 points. Ticman's morning made it three games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bubba Basuel, who  earned seven  points.
 The  win was  the third in a row for Wasilla, bringing their record for this year to 6-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Kodiak, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Wasilla strolled past Kodiak when the teams last played  back in February of 2024 by a score of  60-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wasilla since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
