Soccer Game Preview: Easley vs. J.L. Mann

Easley hasn't had much luck against J.L. Mann recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Easley will look to defend their home pitch against J.L. Mann at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Easley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let T.L. Hanna get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, J.L. Mann entered their tilt with T.L. Hanna on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp 5-0 win. J.L. Mann's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matches.

They hit T.L. Hanna with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Laney Keith (2), Caroline Ray (2), and Emilyn Kneeland.

J.L. Mann pushed their record up to 6-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Easley, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Easley suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to J.L. Mann when the teams last played back in March of 2020. Can Easley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
