Basketball Game Preview: East Jefferson Warriors vs. Benjamin Franklin Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the East Jefferson Warriors will get right back to it and host the Benjamin Franklin Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Benjamin Franklin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

East Jefferson played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over West Jefferson. The Warriors pushed the score to 44-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buccaneers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin was beaten by Riverdale 50-16 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Rebels are ranked 87th).

Benjamin Franklin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-16. As for East Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
