Recap: La Junta Tigers vs. Pagosa Springs Pirates
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The La Junta Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 14-7 to Pagosa Springs on Saturday. It was the first time this season that La Junta let down their fans at home.
Gavin Lindahl was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
La Junta's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Pagosa Springs, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
La Junta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pagosa Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Eaton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Eaton is ranked 66th, while Pagosa Springs is ranked 73rd).
