Soccer Recap: Salem Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

Salem Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the University Christian Barracudas. If Salem Baptist Christian were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to University Christian when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Salem Baptist Christian's goal came courtesy of Lexie Carter, who's now up to four this season.

Salem Baptist Christian's record now sits at 0-8. As for University Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Salem Baptist Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Statesville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, University Christian will face off against rival Hickory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for University Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Hickory Christian Academy have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
