Basketball Recap: Briarcliff Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Briarcliff can now relate to. They took a 65-49 bruising from the Blind Brook Trojans on Sunday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Trojans are ranked 93rd).

Briarcliff's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Blind Brook, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Briarcliff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blind Brook, they will face off against Woodlands at 7:30 p.m. on March 9th. One thing working in Blind Brook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 contests.
