Baseball Recap: Billings' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Billings was riding high fresh off their 33-5 takedown of Chadwick last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Billings fell just short of the Hollister Tigers by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Billings fell to 2-1. As for Hollister, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Billings will face off against Marionville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Billings is facing Marionville at the right time seeing as Marionville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hollister, they will head out on the road to square off against Monett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hollister 3, Monett 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
