Softball Recap: Marcellus Mustangs vs. Cazenovia Lakers
Marcellus entered their tilt with Cazenovia with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went their way against the Cazenovia Lakers on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Marcellus, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Annabella Mondello made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Mondello has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Mondello was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Millie Novitsky was incredible, going 2-for-2 with three runs, a triple, and two RBI. Jillian O?Connor was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
