Softball Recap: Illinois Lutheran Wins Going Away Against Michigan Lutheran

Illinois Lutheran won the last time they faced Michigan Lutheran and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chargers put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 12-6 win. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Lola Spada made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Hoffman, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last ten matchups. Julia Jacobucci was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
