Softball Recap: Lewisville Comes Up Short

Lewisville has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.41 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-5 to the Richard Winn Academy Eagles. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2017.

Lewisville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season. As for Richard Winn Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Coming up, Lewisville will host Ware Shoals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. Richard Winn Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
