Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy - Canyons Takes a Loss

Somerset Academy - Canyons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Seminole Ridge Hawks. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 25-13.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in freshman Evan Holowecky, who had six digs, five aces, and one block. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Holowecky.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Seminole Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Somerset Academy - Canyons wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Royal Palm Beach on the 17th. As for Seminole Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Sunset on the 14th.
