Joey Benitez Game Report: vs Alamosa

Montrose had to settle for second on Thursday, but Joey Benitez sure wasn't going down easily. Benitez was dynamite, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

Coming up, Benitez and Montrose will face off against Summit at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Summit will enter the matchup having just beaten Eagle Valley, so Montrose will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
