Basketball Recap: West Union Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If West Union was riding high fresh off their 51-20 takedown of Regents on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles were beaten by the East Union Urchins 62-21 on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Urchins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

East Union's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Sherwood, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 12 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Sherwood is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marley Clayton, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and seven steals.

West Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for East Union, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. West Union will head out to square off against Shannon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Union, they will venture away from home to take on New Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
