The Milford Bearcats will square off against the Fisher Bunnies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Milford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Milford came out on top against Iroquois West on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Bearcats took their match against the Raiders 8-4. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Kami Muehling was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Addison Lucht was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Madisyn Laffoon was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Fisher fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Tremont on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Turks by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Bunnies in their meetings with the Turks: they've now lost six in a row.

Milford's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fisher, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1.
