Hurricane is 8-2 against Huntington since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Redskins will welcome the Highlanders at 5:30 p.m. Hurricane's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Huntington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hurricane is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Parkersburg South, who was ranked ninth at the time (Hurricane was ranked first). The Redskins fell 5-0 to the Patriots on Saturday. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Hurricane saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexander Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Huntington fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Riverside on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 9-7. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kayleigh Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run. Marie Cheung was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Huntington's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-2.

Everything went Hurricane's way against Huntington in their previous meeting back in March, as Hurricane made off with a 14-2 victory. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
