Soccer Recap: Desert Hills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waterford last Friday, Desert Hills came back down to earth. The Desert Hills Thunder lost 5-2 to the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs on Tuesday. The Thunder were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Boone Heaton and Todd Simister scored both of Desert Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Desert Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Crimson Cliffs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Hills will take on Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Hills has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will face off against Pine View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
