Softball Recap: Bruce's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bruce had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the Vardaman Rams by a score of 12-8. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Rams back in February, they had to take a 9-7 defeat.

Bruce pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vardaman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Coincidentally, Bruce and Vardaman will both be playing Calhoun City the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
