Softball Recap: Beulah Comes Up Short

Beulah and Childersburg squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Beulah had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-7. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Beulah's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-21-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.29 runs. As for Childersburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-20 record this season.

Beulah has already played their next game (against Hale County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Childersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-10 loss against Thorsby on the 6th.
