Basketball Recap: Lakeland Dreadnaughts vs. Discovery Spartans
Lakeland was the 86-50 winner over Discovery when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeland Dreadnaughts took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Discovery Spartans on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (63), the Dreadnaughts still had to take the loss.
Discovery's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Dailey, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave Dailey a new career-high in steals. Darius Livingston was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Lakeland and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Discovery, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Avon Park will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Discovery surely won't give up without a fight.
