After a string of seven wins, Georgetown's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pflugerville Connally Cougars. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pflugerville Connally to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Doe, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Scruggs, who posted ten points and six steals.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Pflugerville Connally, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Georgetown will challenge East View at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown is on a three-game streak of home wins, East View a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Pflugerville Connally, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pflugerville Connally Cougars take on the Pflugerville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pflugerville Connally is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
