Softball Recap: Ferndale Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ferndale's offense. They fell 3-0 to Calistoga on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Ferndale's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ferndale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fallon Bullan, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Ferndale's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Calistoga, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Ferndale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
