Basketball Recap: William Floyd Snaps 13-Game Streak of Wins at Home

William Floyd was the 72-38 winner over Brentwood when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The William Floyd Colonials fell 51-42 to the Brentwood Indians on Thursday. The Colonials have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Colonials players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savannah Pantry, who posted ten points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Campbell, who put up seven points and ten rebounds.

William Floyd's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-6. As for Brentwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

William Floyd will host Smithtown East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brentwood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Walt Whitman at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
