Basketball Game Preview: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers vs. Locust Grove Wildcats

Two dominant guards in Jayden Bone and Tyler Jones are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers and the Locust Grove Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Locust Grove likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy came up short against Eagle's Landing and fell 75-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Chargers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Ola on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 65-61 win.

Locust Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything went Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's way against Locust Grove in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Eagle's Landing Christian Academy made off with a 72-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
