Recap: Community Trojans vs. Van-Far Indians
The Community Trojans lost against the Van-Far Indians back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Community was beaten by Van-Far 86-27. Community was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
Nikos Connaway was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven assists and seven steals for Van-Far. The contest was Connaway's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Pacey Reading was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Community has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Van-Far, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Van-Far will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Macon at 12:30 p.m. on December 30th. Macon comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
