Softball Game Preview: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. Dunnellon Tigers

The Lake Weir Hurricanes will venture away from home to face off against the Dunnellon Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Weir is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Lake Weir came up short against Belleview and fell 4-1.

Lake Weir saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Rigozzi, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Rigozzi has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Dunnellon also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Vanguard by a score of 7-4. The Tigers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Lake Weir's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Dunnellon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Lake Weir beat Dunnellon 9-5 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
