Basketball Game Preview: Germantown Warhawks vs. Brookfield East Spartans

The Germantown Warhawks will face off against the Brookfield East Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Germantown earned a 54-44 win over Hamilton. The Warhawks' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Germantown had a senior duo take command as Danica Gosz went 7 of 17 en route to 21 points and four steals and Madeline Jakusz dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Gosz's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Teigan Stuve, who posted four points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Brookfield East entered their tilt with Hamilton on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Chargers, posting a 70-22 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Brookfield East's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.8 points. As for Germantown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Things could have been worse for Germantown, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 83-64 loss to Brookfield East in their previous matchup back in February of 2024.
