Manhattan scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Emporia Spartans by a score of 5-4. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Manhattan now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Emporia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season.

Manhattan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emporia, they will face off against West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
