            Volleyball Recap: Enochs Eagles vs. Golden Valley Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            
Enochs was the  2-1 winner over Golden Valley when they last played one another  back in September of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell  3-1 to the Cougars on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 While Enochs ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-23,  25-23.
 Reese Johnson paced Enochs' offense, picking up 17 kills. Johnson got some help from  Lileahna Leiva and her 19 assists.  Giselle Najera controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
 Golden Valley was led to victory by  Marley Rodriguez and  Zoe Gonzales.  Rodriguez  had 14  digs and one assist, while  Gonzales  had 18  digs, 12  kills,  and two  aces. Those  18  digs gave  Gonzales a new career-high.  Emily Green also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
Enochs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Golden Valley, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season.
 Enochs has  already played their next  contest (against Orestimba), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Golden Valley, they are taking a road trip to  take on Chowchilla  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
